PERSONNEL of the City Treasurer’s Office (CTO) here will soon start their door-to-door inspection campaign on all business outlets including all PCSO-franchised lottery outlets and impose regulatory fees for the mayor or business permit and license.

This was announced by city treasurer Katherine Tingson after her office received a legal opinion from the City Legal Office regarding right of the local government unit (LGU) in exacting regulatory fees from all Keno online lottery, lotto outlets and small town lottery (STL) agent corporations.

Tingson said the CTO will be conducting an intensive collection of taxes with tax mapping, inspections and the imposition of regulatory fees from the PCSO outlets which fall under the amusement category of the local tax code to pay only the mayor’s permit, sanitary and garbage fees.

Summons will be served to PCSO outlets to pay the city their regulatory fees.
